In an effort to get the journalism student acclimated to using Twitter for journalistic purposes, they were asked to complete a scavenger hunt using their smart phones or laptops. The students were paired up and sent to hit the pavement in search of their social media “treasures”.
With 20+ students, there were a lot of really interesting tweets. The pictures below are just a few of the screen shots of the Twitter feed from Brizzly.
The assignment received some great feedback from the students and other Tweeps following the hashtag #J4801. It was even picked up by the Commercial Appeal and @TrendsMemphis!! What a fantastic assignment! I can’t wait to see what the graduate students put together in a similar assignment Monday night.
